I am a sociologist and an academic researcher working on socio-economic inequalities. Currently I am an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the Free University Amsterdam. From February 2018 onwards I will be taking up a post as a Britisch Academy Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Oxford. I will be affilated to the Department of Social Policy and Intervention, Nuffield College, and the Institute for New Economic Thinking. My work is focused on quantitative research on social stratification, intergenerational social mobility, inequality in economic welfare and wellbeing, and social policy. In the near future I will be working on my British Academy funded research project "The role of family background for individuals’ material and psychological wellbeing".
